Avery with Snowman

Happy 5th Birthday to Paper Nest Dolls!

It's time for the new challenge for January, which is "Anything Goes" as always! You can find more details over on The Paper Nest Dolls Challenge Blog.  I'm sharing my inspiration using "Avery with Snowman". It is also available as a digital stamp if you prefer.  I made this card for my Sister-in-law for Christmas :). I hope that you like it!

I colored her with my copics as usual. I die cut around her using a die by Lawn Fawn from stash. I layered her on top of designer cardstock from Doodlebug Design's "Polar Pals" collection. I distressed the edges and inked them with Distress Ink in "Broken China". I added some enamel dots by My Mind's Eye and a Doodle pop Snowman also from the Doodlebug Design "Polar Pals" Collection.  The card base is from Bazzill's Card Shoppe line.

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope to see your creations in this month's challenge! Feel free to leave some comments and be sure to check out all the images available at Paper Nest Dolls! Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Snowflake Season!

Can you believe Christmas is this weekend?!

I certainly can't! It has come way too fast for me this year. I didn't even get all my decorations up this time, so it's a good thing there's one every year haha! Anyway, I'm here to share with you a creation I made for Paper Nest Dolls using "Avery with Bear Friend" . This is one of the few Christmas cards I made this year. I'm hoping to make many more for next year! Anyway, I hope that you like it, I'm really happy with how it turned out!

I colored the image with my copics as usual and added some distressing and die cuts to accent the image, along with a sentiment. The patterned paper is from Doodlebug's "Sugarplums" and "Polar Pals" lines from last Christmas-- it is sadly no longer available. The die cuts I added are from Cottage Cutz and La La Land Crafts.

I hope that you liked my project today! I didn't write down the copic combos I used but they are in the R, RV, B, and BG family for most of it and of course E's for hair and teddy :). Thank you again for stopping by! Don't forget to enter some creations of your own over at Paper Nest Dolls "Anything Goes" Challenge this month!

Warm Drink Cold Day

What's better than a Warm Drink on a Cold Day?

Well, nothing other than having a Snow Day and coloring the day away ;) .  By the time you read this post however, my snow day will be over but that is exactly what I plan to do with it. I love snow, it might sound odd to those places that get hammered with winter storms but it is rare to have on the valley floor here at my home--mostly just in the mountain areas! I'll consider it a late birthday present since my birthday was the 10th, haha! Anyway, I am the Guest Designer for Faery Ink this month and sadly this is my last post. Thank you for the amazing opportunity, Amanda! I hope to work together again down the road :). For my last project, I used  Faery Ink "Aja Warm Drink Cold Day" for a wintery creation. I hope that it inspires you! You can also find my post on the Faery Ink Blog.

I colored the image in my copic markers using some of my favorite purple and blue combos. I used some adorable patterned papers by C.C. Designs |("Snowy Day" and Doodlebug Design ("Polar Pals") for the backdrop as well as a couple die cuts from C.C Designs and Lawn Fawn! The lace I used is from Live & Love Crafts which is sadly closing down soon ! I also inked the edges in Distress Ink "Vintage Photo". The card base is from Bazill's Card Shoppe line in "Robin Egg".

Copic Combos:
Hat- B000, BV02, BV13, BV08
Scarf- BV63, BV66, BV69
Gloves, Snowflakes: B32, B34, B37
Skin- E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20, R22
Hearts- R81, R83, R85, R89
Mug- E50, E53, E55, E57

Thank you for stopping by! Feel free to leave some comments on my project today if you like. Have a wonderful day and holiday season!

Whimsy Stamps DT Call!

October 17th, 2014

Whimsy Stamps Design Team Call!

First off, I will start by saying I am a big Whimsy Stamps fan and I would love the challenge of creating as part of the design team! Thank you for the opportunity of applying for your team!

  • For this piece, I used a Whimsy Stamp by Jo Davies Collection Time For Tea Designs called "Baby, It's Cold Outside". You can purchase this super cute stamp by clicking the link. I adore all of the Time For Tea! I colored her with my copics and accented the card with dies and Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

  • I also wanted to share this over-sized magnetic tag/card that I created using a Whimsy Stamp by Crissy Armstrong called "Penguin Joy". You can find this adorable stamp by clicking the link. I just love Crissy's penguins!

I hope you liked my 3 projects and would be so honored to be picked as part of the team! Thank you for your consideration!
