Faery Ink GDT Call

Hello everyone! I am happy to share with you my projects for the Guest Design Team call over at Faery Ink. Before, I share my projects, I'll dive right into their questions for the application.

  1. How did you find Faery Ink? I found out about Faery Ink through Kit and Clowder about a year ago I believe.
  2. What are your top 3 favorite Faery Ink images? Why? (please include the URL to the images in the Faery Ink shop). My favorite images are "Destiny Snow Faery", "Holiday Tree Destiny" and "Bella the Candy Fairy" because I love Christmas/Winter and they are all very beautiful images!
  3. How many projects have you made from Faery Ink images? These are my first projects that have been made into cards, but I have colored a few of them before :)
  4. What kind of projects do you like to make from Faery Ink images? (cards, art journals, boxes, candles, art for your personal use etc…) I usually make cards, but sometimes I will make shadow boxes or scrapbook pages.
  5. How many design teams are you currently on? I am on 2 teams; Little Blue Button and The Paper Nest Dolls Challenge Team.
  6. How many projects do you need to complete each month in order to satisfy your obligations to your other design teams? 2.
  7. Would you be open to a long term spot on the team? Yes.
  8. Is there any month between December 2015 and November 2016 that you will be unavailable to be a guest designer? No, I'm pretty open at the moment.
  9. Are you familiar with the WordPress blogging platform? No, but I am familiar with blogger.
  10. How often do you post on Facebook? Daily.
  11. Do you participate in groups on Facebook? Yes, I am in many.
  12. What other social media platforms are you active on? Instagram, Twitter and Pintrest
  13. Is there anything you would like to add? I would be honored to be picked to be part of the team!
Now, I will show you my projects. I really love how they came together and I hope you do, too!

For this card, I colored up "Amber Heart Fae" Digital Stamp . Isn't she gorgeous? I used my copic markers to color her. The patterned paper I used is by Santoro, as well as the ribbon & trim. The embellishments were from my stash. The circle die cut around the image is from a die set called "Stitched Large Circle Stackables". The doily behind is by Doodlebug Design in the color called "Swimming Pool".

My second creation is using "Granmargaret Fairy" Digital Stamp. The patterned paper is one of my favorites by Kaisercraft called "Enchanted Garden". The border die cut is made by C.C. Designs, but I believe it is discontinued. The rectangle framing the image is another die set from Lawn Fawn called "Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables". The trim is from Trimcraft.

I hope you like my creations and I would be totally thrilled to be part of the Faery Ink Guest Design Team! Good luck to everyone!

Paper Nest Dolls Inspiration Post: "Peppermint Princess Ellie"

November 19th, 2015

Paper Nest Dolls Inspiration Post:
"Peppermint Princess Ellie"

Hello everyone! It's time for my inspiration post for The Paper Nest Dolls! For my project today, I used "Peppermint Princess Ellie" and made her into a shadow box. It was a lot of fussy cutting, but I love how it came together and I hope you do, too!

I colored the image with my copics as usual (colors will be listed below). The shadow box was made using the "Christmas Shadow Box" Project Kit from La-La Land Crafts! The patterned paper I used is by Lawn Fawn from their 2014 "Snow Day" collection, which sadly is no longer available. I made the snow look with Deco Art "Snow Tex" and adhered it with Ranger Multi Medium. The glimmer on the trees was done with some Smooch Ink. The Ivy and holly berries was done using Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Pens, which are my absolute favorite glitter! The snowflake border is a Cottage Cutz die called "Winter Frost Border".
