Holiday Friends

Happy Monday Everyone!

I'm here with my next inspiration for Paper Nest Dolls using "Holiday Friends", which is also available in digi! I hope that you like what I've created with it!

I colored the image with my copics as usual. You can't really tell from the pictures, but there is some clear sparkle on the white parts of the image. I also used some Nuvo Script Brush pens to write the sentiment. I cut her out using a Lawn Fawn die set from my stash. The designer cardstock I used on this is from a Kaisercraft line called "Christmas Wishes" and I used some enamel embellishments by My Mind's Eye. I inked the edges in various colors of Lawn Fawn's mini inks. I added some heart trim and a bow I made from my stash as well.

  2. What are your top 3 favorite Faery Ink images? Why? (please include the URL to the images in the Faery Ink shop). My favorite images are "Destiny Snow Faery", "Holiday Tree Destiny" and "Bella the Candy Fairy" because I love Christmas/Winter and they are all very beautiful images!
  3. How many projects have you made from Faery Ink images? These are my first projects that have been made into cards, but I have colored a few of them before :)
  4. What kind of projects do you like to make from Faery Ink images? (cards, art journals, boxes, candles, art for your personal use etc…) I usually make cards, but sometimes I will make shadow boxes or scrapbook pages.
  5. How many design teams are you currently on? I am on 2 teams; Little Blue Button and The Paper Nest Dolls Challenge Team.
  6. How many projects do you need to complete each month in order to satisfy your obligations to your other design teams? 2.
  7. Would you be open to a long term spot on the team? Yes.
  8. Is there any month between December 2015 and November 2016 that you will be unavailable to be a guest designer? No, I'm pretty open at the moment.
  9. Are you familiar with the WordPress blogging platform? No, but I am familiar with blogger.
  10. How often do you post on Facebook? Daily.
  11. Do you participate in groups on Facebook? Yes, I am in many.
  12. What other social media platforms are you active on? Instagram, Twitter and Pintrest
  13. Is there anything you would like to add? I would be honored to be picked to be part of the team!
Now, I will show you my projects. I really love how they came together and I hope you do, too!

For this card, I colored up "Amber Heart Fae" Digital Stamp . Isn't she gorgeous? I used my copic markers to color her. The patterned paper I used is by Santoro, as well as the ribbon & trim. The embellishments were from my stash. The circle die cut around the image is from a die set called "Stitched Large Circle Stackables". The doily behind is by Doodlebug Design in the color called "Swimming Pool".

My second creation is using "Granmargaret Fairy" Digital Stamp. The patterned paper is one of my favorites by Kaisercraft called "Enchanted Garden". The border die cut is made by C.C. Designs, but I believe it is discontinued. The rectangle framing the image is another die set from Lawn Fawn called "Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables". The trim is from Trimcraft.

I hope you like my creations and I would be totally thrilled to be part of the Faery Ink Guest Design Team! Good luck to everyone!

The Paper Nest Dolls Challenge Team:
"Prom Avery"

Hello everyone! I am back with another adorable creation using a stamp from The Paper Nest Dolls July Release! I hope you like my creation :) Feel free to leave some comments too!

I am officially renaming this stamp Cotton Candy Dress Avery! Lol! I had a bit of fun with this one, experimenting with techniques from the clothing class over at Kit and Clowder! I love the effect :) For this card, I used the "Prom Avery" image stamp by Paper Nest Dolls and colored her with my copics. I went over her dress with a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Pen in Clear. The patterned papers I used are from the Kaisercraft "Enchanted Garden" 6.5" Paper Pad. The top trim was from Santoro/Docrafts Gorjuss line and the heart trim was some in my stash from Live, Love, Crafts! I also distressed the edges of all the papers with Tim Holtz/Ranger Ink Distress Ink Pad in Vintage Photo and used the Prima Marketing Comfort Craft Distressing Tool. I also used some sugar dots by Prima Marketing called "Delight".
Here are the combos I used with Copic Markers:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 and R20.
Eyes: W9
Hair: Y21, YR23, E15 & E18.
